Priority 02
Push for GO expansion, safer local connector roads and intersection fixes so the commute stops being the worst part of living here.

A large share of Ward 3 leaves town before sunrise and gets home after dark. Transportation is not an abstract file here. It is the single biggest tax on family time in this community.
Two things determine whether that commute is survivable: how reliably the train runs, and how safely you can get to it. The first is a provincial and Metrolinx decision that this council can only influence by showing up, consistently, with evidence. The second is entirely within the Town's control.
Local connector roads across the ward were laid out for a community a fraction of this size. Turning movements that were fine at 4,000 daily trips are now genuinely dangerous. Traffic calming, signal timing, turning lanes and safe crossings are unglamorous, they are relatively cheap, and they are exactly what a ward councillor is for.
The ask on transit has to be specific and repeated: more weekday trips, reliable off-peak service, parking that keeps pace with ridership, and connecting local service that actually meets the train.
